Gardening with Insects

April 9, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Beneficial insects provide services like pollination and the suppression of pests in the garden. Gardeners can encourage these insects by creating a habitat that supplies them a source of pollen and nectar. Scott Vogt, Director of Dyck Arboretum will share information about “good bugs” living in our yards and why they benefit us and our gardens. Attendees will learn about helpful insects and the native plants that attract them.

Class is free but please pre-register by contacting the Reno County Extension Office at 620-662-2371 or emailing ppaulsen@ksu.edu. Light refreshments will be served.
