Asparagus Chicken Casserole
Asparagus Chicken Casserole, this recipe was passed on to me by a friend who is one of the best cooks I know. I was a little skeptical about the green olives, but they do add another dimension of flavor and really add a finish to this casserole!
DIRECTIONS:
Arrange in layers in a 9X13 inch pan as follows:
– 2 c. diced cooked chicken (may use canned)
– 1 can cut asparagus (may use fresh, cooked)
– 1 c. diced American cheese
– 1 7oz. pkg narrow noodles, cooked
– 1/2 c. cashews
– 1 small can mushrooms – drained
– 1/4 c. chopped onion
– 1/2 c. chopped green peppers
– 1 small jar green olives, chopped
Mix the following and pour over the top.
– 1 can cream of mushroom soup
– 1 c. mayonnaise
– Top with chow mein noodles and back at 350° for 1 hour.
