Stutzmans Wichita locations are seasonal garden centers located at 13th & Tyler & 3535 N. Rock Rd. and are open April to October. Retail experience preferred. Providing the optimal shopping experience to the garden center customer is the number one priority. Gardening is the number one hobby in America and the customer comes to the Garden Center to find fellow plant lovers who are willing to spend quality time with them learning about plants and finding the plant that will meet their needs and expectations. Plant knowledge is very helpful and preferred. Training and support will be provided. You will be trained to operate a cash register and credit card machine. The garden center is located on asphalt, so the environment can be both chilly early season and very hot in the summer, and then there is the Kansas wind to consider. You will be on your feet all day long caring for the plants and grooming the plants as you serve the customer. When the trucks come in with product, you will be pushing large carts of product to the appropriate tables and unloading plants. The customer chooses to come to the garden center and frequently is in a good mood anticipating a fulfilling experience. There is great fulfillment in facilitating this process. You will work very hard physically but this could potentially be one of the most fun jobs you will experience. There are full-time and part-time hours available seven days per week.
