Candy Cane Cocoa

Candy Cane Cocoa – hot cocoa and the delicious holiday taste of peppermint … only thing else you might need is a roaring fire to drink it by.  This is sure to be a holiday hit with everyone you entertain!  There’s nothing better than this welcome mug of steaming hot cocoa on a winter’s eve.  Festively flavored with peppermint candy canes and luscious whipped cream, it’s sure to stir your senses.


*4 cups milk

*3 (1 oz) squares semisweet chocolate, chopped

*4 peppermint candy canes, crushed

*1 cup whipped cream

*4 small peppermint candy canes

In a saucepan, heat milk until hot, but not boiling.  Whisk in the chocolate and the crushed peppermint candies until melted and smooth.  Pour hot cocoa into four mugs, and garnish with whipped cream.  Serve each with a candy cane stirring stick.
